This attractive and spacious Victorian property, built in 1895, is situated in the market town of Alnwick in Northumberland. It was completely refurbished during 2008 to provide quality guest accommodation.
This delightful, character guesthouse, tastefully furnished throughout, sits in the heart of the Alnwick Conservation Area and is only a two minute walk from the town centre and local amenities. Both Alnwick Castle and Alnwick Garden are readily reached on foot within a further two minute stroll.
Greycroft is located in Croft Place, a private road enabling guest parking adjacent to the house. It has an attractive walled garden that has been described as an ‘Oasis in the centre of town’. Our rooms, detailed on the Accommodation page, include a large single (small double), three double rooms of varying sizes and a twin room. Our suite/large family room is scheduled to be available mid November. In addition we have a comfortable guest lounge and bright contemporary garden room where breakfast is served from 8.00 to 9.00 am (8.00 to 9.30 am at weekends).
Alnwick itself is centrally situated for exploring the beautiful Northumberland coast, including Holy Island and the Farne Islands and the countryside from the Scottish Borders down through Kielder to Hadrians Wall.
Northumberland is the most sparsely populated county in England but it also has the most castles, many of which are nearby. Enjoy the tranquillity and the history.
